We are proud to present the association by and for CvA Students: CODA

This association was brought to life primarily with the purpose of facilitating social and musical connection between students of different departments and study years of the CvA. These connections are not occurring naturally to the extent we would like to see, therefore, we have made it our duty to organise a range of social activities, such as borrels, parties, interdisciplinary musical events, concerts and a big party. Considering CODA is officially a study association, study related events and workshops will be organised as well.


With the introduction week, the registration period for CODA will start as well, which means that all CvA students can become a member of our association. This will be possible here and in real life on several occasions. The registration period will end in the second week of October and will be specified later.

  • What is CODA’s main goal?

    At the core of the Association for CvA Students is the intent to increase social cohesion between students of different disciplines inside the Conservatory of Amsterdam.

  • Can I join CODA?

    Anyone who is currently receiving education at the Conservatory of Amsterdam, be it a preparatory year, a bachelor or a master, can join the association. It is also possible to become a patron, contributing to the cause of the association without the full commitment of a regular membership. This is not reserved for CvA students, for example, alumni and teachers from CvA can all become patrons to contribute to CODA.


    Once you receive your degree from the conservatory, your membership will automatically be converted to a patron membership, making you a patron of CODA. The board reserves the right to refuse any memberships.


  • How much is the membership fee?

    The fee will consist of a single, yearly payment of 30.00 euros. This same amount is the minimum yearly contribution required to be a patron of CODA.

    These amounts are determined during the annual General Assembly meeting.


  • How do I pay my membership fee?

    You can purchase a membership through this website and pay through various (international) payment providers like iDeal and PayPal. For next year, we will email you with the instruction in how to renew your membership.

  • How can I discontinue my membership?

    The starting date of a membership will be September the 1st of every year. After the payment of the membership fee, you will be registered as a member of CODA for the upcoming year.


    If you, for any reason, wish to cancel your membership, you can do this by contacting the secretary and signing an agreement discontinuing your membership at CODA.

  • Is there a general assembly?

    Every year there will be a general assembly, this is the core of the association CODA. Members have the right to vote during these meetings and the new board will be decided by the General Assembly. This meeting will be announced well ahead of the event and the board encourages everyone to participate in these general meetings.
